I could never get into the recent discussion about wheather to have publicity or not in a blog because I could not feel identified with any of the two positions. In fact, I felt that taking profit of your success as a writer giving a publicity service is absolutely reasonable, specially since every time you talk about a product you are implicitly giving free advertisement. But I also felt somehow attached to those who were agains publicity because a aesthetic reason, although I could not see the point to reject other blogs having publicity.

But I have finally found the position I was looking for: 2 Lame 4 Ads. In other words: if my blog was successful I would definitely use ads, but since it is not, it is not worth it.

So from now on, you will see that little image in the sidebar symbolizing that:

By using this icon on my website I am stating…

1. That I am not opposed to the use of advertising on blogs, but since my blog is too lame I belive I will never have a decent advertisement.
2. That since I think I will never make a profit from my blog my motivation will lessen every day and eventually I will close it.
3. That I also have no problem with people who choose not to display advertising on their blogs, but they are a bunch of suckers and loosers who are too afraid to say they don’t get nice advertisers.
