Further thoughts on becoming a millionaire

It is true that it might look like being pretentious, and even vain, but I still find reasonably easy to become a millionaire. You’re welcome to join me in what I call “a trip towards the perfect couch potato’s life”, or laugh at me.

Obviously, there’s something tricky on the way towards unlimited richness, otherwise everybody would be a millionaire and, therefore, couch potatoes. But it is true that there are some clues that might shed light to the path.

The first step is to identify clearly identify the players of the game. There’s us in the present. There’s us in the future (hopefully). And there’s the rest of world’s population that are going to help us to get there. A certain amount of the rest of the population is going to kindly give some money that, accumulated, will represent our final little fortune.

There are many ways to get to the top of the mountain. But some of these paths cannot be walked simply because we don’t have the equipment (e.g. capital, money, financial help) required to do so. But do not despair. There are cheap paths to follow. And one clear example is internet. From e-companies you can learn a lot, specially from successful ones. Let’s, for instance, see what Google, Amazon and MSN have in common.

The users are not the clients

This little silly condition is so simple and dumb, that is rarely seen. Many internet sites are obviously concerned about the amount of traffic that gets to their webpages. And the reason is that the more they get, more money they will charge their clients. And who are the clients? Companies wanting to advertise their products or services in a crowded site.

And if you don’t believe the extreme simplicity of the business, just go to The Million Dollar Homepage, and see how someone is getting rich live!
